Via our private access you reach the water directly and can cool off on hot summer days in the ice-cold Black Forest river – or simply enjoy the quiet on the bank. A family-friendly open-air pool in the heart of the Wolftal
Only a few minutes’ drive from Schwarzwaldhaus Wolftal, the Wolftal-Erlebnis-Waldfreibad invites you to unwind and cool off. Alongside swimmer and non-swimmer pools you will find a slide, a children’s pool, generous lawns and more – ideal for a summer day with family or friends.
Waldschwimmbad Kniebis
An idyllic open-air pool at around 1,000 m
Waldschwimmbad Kniebis is only about 14 minutes by car from Schwarzwaldhaus Wolftal and offers a beautiful setting in the middle of the Black Forest. With swimmer and non-swimmer pools, a children’s area and large lawns, it is the perfect day out for hot summer days.

Hiking – Klösterle-Schleife & premium trails
A gourmet path with Burgbachwasserfall and panoramic views
The certified premium hiking trail leads through the Wolfsschlucht to the 32 m Burgbachwasserfall – one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in the Black Forest. Further destinations: Glaswaldsee, Kastelstein and the viewing pavilion at Burgbachfelsen.

Mountain biking & e-biking
400 km of signposted trails through the national park region
The Wolftal is one of the most densely forested valleys in the Black Forest and offers an excellently signposted MTB network from 320 to 950 metres of altitude. Guided tours, e-bike hire and the annual Wolftal mountain-bike days complete the picture.

Burgbachwasserfall
One of Germany’s highest free-falling waterfalls
Just 700 metres from Schwarzwaldhaus Wolftal, the water plunges 32 metres into the gorge – a natural spectacle right on your doorstep. The premium hiking trail Klösterle-Schleife (8 km) is one of the finest circular walks in the Black Forest and leads right past the waterfall.

Alternativer Wolf- und Bärenpark
Rescued bears, wolves & lynx on 10 hectares
A very special place: rescued large animals live in near-natural enclosures. On the 2 km circular path you watch bears at play, wolves howling and lynx climbing. A night at the bear park is an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Germany’s highest waterfalls – 163 metres in 7 steps
Foaming and roaring, the Gutach plunges 163 metres down the valley over seven falls. Three different walking trails lead through the waterfall area, and in the evening the falls are lit until 10 pm. A must for every Black Forest visitor.

Germany’s longest ziplines – up to 570 m above the Kinzigtal
Five lines, 2,149 metres in total and up to 83 metres above the ground – pure adrenaline with a Black Forest panorama. An action film in which you play the lead. Bookable for groups of up to 10.
